Il progetto Disco Safari nasce nel Novembre 2008 come una sfida lanciata dai suoi fondatori ANDREA GOBBO, CRISTIAN CROCE & NICOLA MAZZETTI (il duo The Barking Dogs) nella panoramica annoiata e statica della night life milanese e vuole essere una risposta, o meglio l’’inizio di una serie di soluzioni alle domande: dov’è finita la qualità del clubbing? Ci sono ancora situazioni in cui i clubbers trovino la possibilità genuina e vera di divertirsi senza seguire l’onda modaiola del momento?
Tre Djs conosciuti come animatori e frequentatori dei locali più underground della city hanno voluto dare una risposta alla stasi degli ultimi tempi, ideando una serata che ha come scopo quello di aggregare, trasmettere e affezionare.
Tutto questo è possibile a partire dalla scelta di un club con personalità e di dimensioni contenute, che permetta il contatto umano e metta a proprio agio: per la stagione 2009 è il Gasoline a ospitare l’evento, che inizialmente parte come un appuntamento mensile a cui viene dedicato il secondo venerdì del mese.

La Musica è l’ingrediente fondamentale: i Djs suonano da amanti della musica per amanti della musica, proponendo set a 360° con un background e un’impronta di fondo essenzialmente Disco, ma liberi di sperimentare nuove strade ovunque il sound trasmetta vibrazioni e sensazioni forti per il corpo e la mente.

Una formula che evidentemente ha il suo effetto, perché da subito il dancefloor si popola di fedelissimi della scena underground e nuove leve della night culture che trovano quello che cercano in una notte tutta da ballare e ascoltare: sono i PartyLovers, l’unico target definibile per la serata che trascina tutti in un viaggio – una sorta di safari un po’ selvaggio – dove il mood positivo è l’unica regola.

Oggi Disco Safari continua a farsi conoscere e ad espandersi grazie anche a un progetto di comunicazione che si muove principalmente online, con una componente viral e un forte passaparola mediatico che ha reso possibile trasformare l’evento in un appuntamento fisso del venerdì, in cui i djs resident danno spazio a una programmazione variabile affiancandosi ospiti provenienti dal panorama musicale underground di tutto il mondo.

The “Disco Safari” project was born in November, 2008 as a challenge of its founders Andrea Gobbo, Nicola Mazzetti and Cristian Croce in the monotonous environment of Milan’s night life and it wants to be an answer or the beginning of a solution to some questions: what happened to the quality of clubbing? Is it still possible for clubbers to enjoy themselves in a pure and genuine way without being obliged to follow the fashion of the moment?

Three deejays known as entertainers of the most underground clubs of the city wanted to give an answer to all this. They have created a night with the aim of putting together and involving music lovers as never before.

All this is possible by choosing a club with personality and the right size to allow people to meet and be at ease. For 2009 the event will be hosted by Gasoline, which will start with a night on the second Friday of each month.

Sound is the main ingredient: the deejays play the music they love for people who love music. They propose a wide selection with a Disco background, but are free to experiment new ideas where sounds can give new and strong feelings to body and mind. They also host worldwide underground celebrities.

This has proved to be a very effective formula, because from the beginning the dance-floor is populated by Milan underground lovers and nightlife new generations. They find everything they want in a night of sound and dance. They are the “Party Lovers” and they are dragged in a sort of night long “Safari” where the only rule is cool mood.

Today Disco Safari is growing a lot and it’s getting more and more popular thanks to an online project with a strong media impact which has made this night a must on Milan’s Friday nights.
